Her Stepsister Took Her Room. The Trust Paper Changed Everything.-mdue

My dad forced me to sleep on the floor so he could give my bedroom to his other daughter.

When she destroyed my clothes, he defended her by yelling, “If you don’t like it, leave.”

The first night on the floor felt smaller than any punishment I had ever been given.

The carpet smelled like old detergent, dusty closet tracks, and the vanilla body spray Ashley had already managed to get on everything I owned.

The hallway light slipped under the door in a thin yellow line, and the air conditioner kept clicking like it was trying to cough itself awake.

Then her calls got shorter because the project got messy, her team needed her late, and she sounded like she was always walking between meetings with coffee in one hand.

I did not blame her.

Not then.

Dad waited until she was gone before he told me Ashley would be staying with us.
