A string quartet played near the front, soft enough to seem tasteful, expensive enough to be noticed.

Two hundred guests spoke in low voices while waiters moved between them with trays balanced on careful hands.

Everything looked flawless.

Eleanor stood near the side entrance in her wedding dress, her veil lifted just enough that she could see across the room.
